Following in the footsteps of fellow hip-hop mogul Sean Combs, Jay-Z will offer his design expertise to an NBA team. He won't just be working on uniforms, as Combs did for the Dallas Mavericks in 2003, but consult on the full visual identity of the Nets (the team he co-owns) as they move into their new home. Part of the task is a new logo, one that proses to tap into the global brand that is now Brooklyn. We're betting Jay will better the efforts of the Minnesota Wild. [Yahoo]
