Opening tonight in Portland, Compound Gallery Presents: Nike Graphic Studio Art Show. The exhibition brings together the talented designers at Nike to benefit recovery efforts in Japan. Each piece is based on the brand's rich history of design.
"The idea behind the NIKE GRAPHIC STUDIO ART SHOW is to harness the amazing talent at Nike and utilize it's collective creativity to benefit others in the form a charity donation. The artist's proceeds will go toward recovery efforts supporting the recent devastation in Japan. In addition, the Nike Foundation will match all of the money raised from the show therefore doubling the donation amount. Each piece is inspired by Nike's DNA and interpreted by each artist in individual and unique ways. This show will feature a variety of mediums and approaches from street inspired stencil art and typography to hand painted canvases and three dimensional figurines. Come support a great cause and enjoy a diverse breadth of work from a passionate group of Nike Designers!"
