We like when everyday objects get cool design upgrades

It's pretty cool when mundane objects recieve a design upgrade. A pencil sharpener is a practical item in its original form, but Singapore-based designer Donn Koh used Japanese origami-inspired design techniques to create slick, shiny pencil sharpeners out of sheet metal. Koh calls his style of design "fat free," implying that what you see is what you get, nothing extra. [Behance]
