This recent ad from Brazilian MTV hearkens back to the days when MTV showed videos, and its ads rocked. In the above video, directors Dulcidio Caldeira, Andre Faria and Guga Ketzer use a simple machine to pops a sequence of balloons on a 200-meter-long rail. According to the directors, “10 balloons had to be popped per second, or 600 balloons per minute” and the balloons were lined using a laser guide. The ad with references to Slash, KISS, Ozzy Osbourne, and others. No special effects here folks, just a kickass idea. We can't say the same for the audio track, but you can't win 'em all. [PSFK]
Ad Worth Watching: MTV Brazil's Animation Made With Popping Balloons
This MTV Brazil ad makes us wish MTV had never grown out of it's 1990s awesomeness phase. Or that we lived in Brazil.
