The first internet-enabled contact lens is on its way. Maybe. A research team at the University of Washington has fabricated a contact lens that can include a semi-transparent set of microscale electronics that will create a surface of LEDS. In time, hundreds of LED components layered on the lens will create images in front of the eye that can then be connected to some type of wi-fi supercomputer. Bionic eyesight? Yes, please.
