Riccardo Tisci may have been foreshadowing Givenchy's aim to open 10 locations across Asia when he only booked full-fledge Asian models for his Couture Spring 2011 collection.  Givenchy's CEO Fabrizio Malverdi told Reuters that out of the 10 prospective stores, six will be in China. "We started early in China so we're not just in the first tier cities. We're established even in the second tier cities. What's interesting now is the trend is looking toward third-tier cities," said Wilfred Koo, President of China, Asia Pacific at Givenchy. This is a win-win for the Asian market.
