MovingPicturesbyKavesTonight, NY artist Kaves presents Moving Pictures by Kaves, an art exhibit that will feature original work, including the premiere of The Shoemaker, a film set in Brooklyn in the 1960s. Kaves wrote the story, about a a young Italian-American shoemaker who needs $50,000 to bring the first automated vulcanizing machinery to Brooklyn and set up a factory. It's a film about sneakers and O.G. New Yorkers, and is sure to be a good way to way to spend your non-snow day here in the city. The cast includes Burt Young, Peter Greene, Kaves, Alba Albanese, Bree Michael Warner, Joseph D'Onofrio, Vinny Vella and William Heins. Check out the exhibit tonight, January 12, from 8 p.m.-midnight at Good Units at the Hudson Hotel (356 West 58th Street). Music by Adam (LORDZ of BKLYN), screening at 9:30 p.m.
