A long weekend in Miami can do a number on your circadian rhythms, especially when it’s Art Basel and you actually have to wake up in the morning to go see art. The show was enjoyable as always, though, and Complex writer Courtney Willis was down there to take it in. Of everything to be gleaned from the show, she came back with one overarching theme: art is selling again. Prominent booths were sold out before the fair opened to the public, and gallery owners with pieces priced under $150,000 were stacking chips. Courtney met up with gallery owners to learn about the artists who survived the recession swimmingly, hit the jump to see five artists from our world who are getting it done in 2010.
