Style Intervention: Steve Jobs

Style Intervention: Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs celebrates his 55th birthday today, and given the immense role that Macs play in Complex's daily operations, we thought we should hit dude up with a nice present. But what can we possibly get for the man who either has or can buy everything? It's not like a WiFi+3G iPad—probably the gadget on top of every guy's wish list—will exactly impress him. Especially since it has no flash and no forward-facing camera. :(

So, we stuck with what we do best, and decided to present Jobs with a quick guide to updating his dreaded St. Croix turtleneck x Levi's 501 x New Balance 991 all-day-everyday get up. Because we care. It's truly a conundrum how the creator of some of today's most beautiful products can pay so little attention to personal style. Maybe it's by design, or he just doesn't give a damn because he can buy and sell every single one of us. Whatever the case, here is our present for Steve—some tough love and a Style Intervention. And for those of you strange creatures who might want to dress like the iCEO himself, we've made some tasteful selections Baller vs. Budget-style. So get your two-finger scroll on and keep reading...

Never get aviator as frames for regular prescription glasses. You will look like a nerd. Not the Pharrell kind, but the David Koechner in "Extract" kind.

I thought we were trying to avoid looking like a dork. The 993's seem a little out of place. If you want a similar style to the Common Projects shoes you can just go with the Onitsuka Win 58s for about $99AU, which I guess is cheaper US.

What I really wanted to know was which brand/model are the glasses he is currently wearing.
