Joining the influx of '80s trends terrorizing the streets, the infamous touristy pouch known as the fanny pack is popping off these days in London, Tokyo and New York. Back in the late '90s, there was a brief period when jumbo-sized North Face fanny packs were the move, but in 2009, the travel-sized accessory is going a little style-forward and high-fashion. You can't front on the functionality (perfect for your wallet, passport, bottled water, and, er, lipstick, etc.) but is the man-pouch look a little much? The whole tight jeans thing was homo b4 it blew up too... Actually I still think that its uberrrrr homo Same w the Arab scarves..... With that being said, like the article said it was being rocked hard in the 90s by down ass peeps all over the 5 Boroughs. All kinds of peeps; thugs, graffiti heads, trendy, preppy... the only difference now is that trendy hipster types are trying to bring it back. Personally I rock it cause I like the functionality ... Mark my words ...my money is on the bootybag (nobody who wheres one calls it a fanny pack) peace.
