Once UFC 246 ended, Floyd Mayweather let it be known that he's ready to give Conor McGregor another shot at handing him his first loss.

Following McGregor's impressive victory over Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, Mayweather took to Instagram where he hinted at the possibility of another fight with the UFC icon. Floyd uploaded a mock promotional flyer that claims Mayweather-McGregor 2 could happen this year.

Conor and Floyd first squared off in August 2017 and they've both been teasing a rematch ever since. The 2017 bout was a boxing match that went Floyd's way as he defeated McGregor with a tenth-round TKO. For a short moment, it was rumored that Mayweather would enter the octagon for the rematch. Yet, McGregor stated this month that Floyd reneged on his verbal agreement to participate in an MMA fight.

"He’s not going to do a mixed martial arts bout like he said," McGregor told ESPN. "It was supposed to be me boxing then we do a mixed martial arts bout. That’s what was said and it came out of his mouth as well. It was not written, but it was a verbal agreement. Obviously that’s not going to happen, and I’m not going to push him on that, either."

Floyd didn't stop with McGregor. The boxer also hinted at the possibility of him fighting Conor's nemesis and UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov

Adding fuel to the fire, UFC President Dana White confirmed that the company will be doing business with Mayweather this year.

"Listen, we’re doing something with Floyd. We’re doing something with Floyd," White said on Saturday prior to McGregor's fight. "And, umm, you know … I don’t know. It’s like, tonight’s the night of the fight, you got the Khabib fight coming, and there’s just so much going on ... Floyd is in our plans, and we are in Floyd’s plans this year, and we’ll end up doing something."
