Cancer is a cause that's close to Tom Brady's heart. His mother, Galynn, was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in June 2016.

Thursday, Brady did his part in raising funds to combat the disease. He attended an event benefiting the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and had his head shaved. The fundraiser brought in $7.5 million, according to TMZ.

Brady's long, brown hair covered his ears when he sat in the chair, but it quickly disappeared. Check out footage of the G.O.A.T. quarterback losing his locks below.

Brady sat next to Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, whose head was also shaved. Red Sox President Sam Kennedy also participated.

In an October interview, Galynn spoke about Tom's support for her while she endured chemotherapy treatment.

"We'd FaceTime a lot," Galynn said. "Losing my hair was hard for me, and I think because, hair to women is who you are, and I'd have my bandanna on and he'd say 'Mom, you look beautiful, you look so beautiful.'"
