Before the 2017-18 NBA regular season commenced, the over-under on wins for the Philadelphia 76ers was 42.5. If you bet on the over, you're very likely to cash out. The 76ers are currently 39-30 with 13 games remaining. If they keep up their current pace, they'll win 46 or 47 games.

Vegas liked the young Sixers, with Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Dario Saric, to qualify for the playoffs, and that's a near lock at this point. Philly is close to clinching its first playoff berth since the launch of The Process in 2012.

When those odds came out, though, plenty of people were still sleeping on Philly. For example, NBA analyst Rob Perez tweeted this out:

If the 76ers win 43 games I will eat my bet ticket on air and mail a 500-word apology to every Sixers fan who asks for one https://t.co/9vK00iYLB3

On Monday, Perez's tweet received a like from none other than Jo Jo Embiid.

Of course Embiid just favorited it.

Embiid hadn't forgotten the Aug. 29 tweet.

Embiid also went back and liked this similar tweet from the Herd with Colin Cowherd.

Embiid made his first All-Star Game and has emerged as a legitimate star this season.

The Eastern Conference's 3-8 seeds are currently up for grabs. The Cavaliers hold the 3 seed, but they're only .5 game up on Indiana, 1 game up on Washington, and 1.5 games up on Philly. The Sixers, who have won three straight, have an easy schedule down the stretch and could very well take that 3 spot.
