Today in low-level Lithuanian basketball news, LaVar Ball has resumed his coaching duties for this week's slate of Vytautas’ Big Baller Brand International Tournament games. However, he'll be without youngest son LaMelo after the 16-year-old suffered a "minor" leg injury in a 128-96 loss on Monday.
LaMelo had landed awkwardly after he missed a shot (very, very badly), at which point he limped to the locker room. You can see it in the above video from Overtime, at around the 1:15 mark, or below in this tweet:
“Melo is hurt right now so he’s not the same guy,” his father said afterwards, via Lonzo Wire. “He’s done.”
For the game, LaMelo was reportedly 0-for-7 from three-point range.
