As somebody who has never drank coffee, nor eaten a strawberry, it really shouldn't be too shocking that Tom Brady isn't dipping on the side. However, when asked during Monday's Super Bowl Opening Night for a fun/funny memory he had from Minnesota as a kid, Brady gave an anecdote that conjures up memories of that gross carnival scene from The Sandlot.
“I've had a lot of great memories [in Minnesota]," the QB said. "I remember my uncles gave me chewing tobacco for the first time when I was really young. We were fishing, it’s a pretty good story. We went sunfishing and on the way home I said, ‘I want to try it,’ and they said, ‘Look, if we give it to you, then you can’t spit it out until you get home.’"
He continued, "It was like a 30-minute drive back to my grandpa’s farm. So of course they give it to me, and within five minutes I’m outside of the car throwing up all over the place."
For the uninitiated, Brady's mom is from a tiny Minnesota town called Browerville (population: 753). He'd go visit relatives on a family farm on occasion, and though the aforementioned memory wasn't the exact moment where the TB12 Method was conceived, it probably didn't hurt.
