According to TMZ, former Bears All-Pro middle linebacker Brian Urlacher is being sued by the mother of his 12-year-old son after she claimed that he worked in tandem with lawyers and a reporter to make her appear to be a murderer.

While that accusation initially sounds confusing, it's actually pretty simple. The woman (whose name is Tyna Karageorge) had a child with Urlacher back in 2005. She later got married to a man named Ryan Karageorge, who was killed after he was shot in the head in December 2016.

According to Tyna, on that fateful night she and Ryan were in the midst of an argument when he grabbed a gun from her purse and shot himself. According to her lawsuit, Karageorge says that Urlacher teamed up with attorneys and a Chicago Tribune reporter to come up with a scheme that made Ryan's death sound like murder instead of suicide.

Tyna says that Urlacher was motivated to do this in an effort to get sole custody of their preteen son. According to the documents she filed in court, she is seeking $25 million in compensatory damages in addition to $100 million in punitive damages.
