On the heels of one of the most exciting regular-season wins in recent Patriots history—and that's saying something—New England is preparing for a big divisional showdown with the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots are still playing for a first-round bye, and for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs, while the Bills are scraping for their postseason livelihood, so this game should be highly competitive.
A story separate from the game, however, has surrounded the Patriots this week: that of the supposed rift between quarterback Tom Brady's nutrition/fitness "guru" Alex Guerrero and head coach Bill Belichick.
Guerrero, who advises Brady on matters like eating avocados, avoiding tomatoes, and using band workouts to keep his muscles "pliable," is one of the legendary quarterback's closest confidants. Earlier this week, The Boston Globe reported that Guerrero had been banned from the Patriots' sideline. When Brady was first asked about this report during a radio spot, he responded, "I don't have any comment on that other to say Alex is a big part of what I do. I am fortunate to have him."
Brady was also asked about the beef between his guru and coach during New England's press conference Friday, at which point he got a bit snippy with the reporter who asked the question.
"I don't really agree with your question, so I don't know what you're talking about," Brady said. "How do you know what he said?"
The reporter began to follow up by asking about the truth of the report, but Brady interjected, "I'm not saying anything. How do you say that [Belichick] said anything? You don't know anything about that."
Brady went on to say all his conversations with Belichick were private. Watch video of the exchange below.

Seems like a sensitive subject.
