When Philadelphia 76er Joel Embiid isn't dropping Game of Thrones theories or finally meeting LaVar Ball, he's perfecting his smack talk. Earlier this year he roasted Kevin Hart, engaged in a nuclear (Twitter) war with Hasan Whiteside, and recently went in on Jalen Rose. His recent target? Karl Anthony-Towns, the center for the Timberwolves, and it all stemmed from this play during the Sixers' 118-112 win over the Timberwolves in Minnesota.

Pretty dope play; so dope, in fact, that "The Process" decided to share the image on Instagram.
"Euro stepping our way through Minnesota and we ended up raising the cat last night," Embiid said. The "raising the cat" phrase is a play on Karl-Anthony Towns' nickname KAT. It makes sense, as Towns actually commented on the IG post with the meh retort: "That caption was as trash as your picture quality."
Embiid, being Embiid, took the bait and sonned Towns with the perfect clapback.
"Better quality than your defense," Embiid responded. And with that, it was check and mate.
Karl-Anthony Towns, word to the wise: if you come at the king, you best not miss.
