Floyd Mayweather is preparing to get back into the ring for the 51st fight of his career! At least, that’s what we were all led to believe this week when "sources" in Mayweather’s camp reportedly told TMZ Sports he was entertaining the idea of fighting again in light of all the money he made for his 50th fight, against Conor McGregor. According to the sources, Mayweather hadn’t made a decision with regards to returning to the ring, but he was training like he was and seriously considering doing it.

It took Mayweather a few days to get around to responding to the comeback rumors—he is, after all, retired now—but on Thursday, he made his boxing intentions known: he will not be getting back into the ring, regardless of how much money it could make him.

"I’m happily retired," Mayweather said from China, where he is currently making a series of promotional appearances while touring the country. "I’m not fighting no more, no matter what the price is."

Mayweather went on to call the rumors "fake" and "all lies."

Outside of addressing the rumors, Mayweather also put up an Instagram post this week of him standing on the Great Wall of China. His caption suggested he’s able to make plenty of cold, hard cash without setting foot in the ring these days, another reason he’s probably not focusing on making a comeback any time soon.

"Coming here with 23 people has been a great experience," he wrote, "and it doesn’t hurt to get paid $3,000,000 to simply visit and vacation in luxury for a few days. With money this long, everything is different. I move different, I dress different, and I live different because my money is extremely different!"

This is the part where we remind you Mayweather said many of these same things prior to accepting his fight with McGregor. In that case he was also dead set against returning to the ring, so we wouldn’t rule it out completely despite what he's saying at the moment. If the price is right and he doesn’t have any trips to China or wherever else planned, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him fight again.

But for now, don’t count on it. At least not until the next TMZ Sports rumor hits...
