Cowboys Fans Aren't Going to Be Happy to Hear Who LeBron James' Favorite NFL Player Is

Hint: He's an NFC East rival.

Carson Wentz

Like a lot of people who grew up in the '90s, LeBron James is a Dallas Cowboys fan. And while it would be simple to write that off as a fairweather decision, it's slightly easier to understand why people who grew up in and around the Cleveland area would seek an out-of-market team to show their pride in.

Despite that love for the team that played a mere 1160 miles from where he grew up, James admitted that his favorite player is the signal caller for rival Philadelphia. And by that we mean James is all in on Carson Wentz.

He said as much during the Cavs' recent trip to Philly to play the Sixers. "My favorite player right now is Carson Wentz," James said on Monday morning. "I told my brother that early in the season that I just love the way he plays the game. The way that he's able to get to progressions throughout the course of a three-step drop or a five-step drop, and if everything breaks down, his ability to run, get outside the pocket, either make passes or get yards with his feet.

"He's a very smart player from the outside looking in, obviously, and they've got a really good team. I'm a Cowboys fan, I'm a Browns fan, but I'm a fan of sports and I know sports."

In case you're curious, which you've indicated by clicking this, LeBron also said he enjoys watching Le'Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and Tom Brady.

On Sunday, Wentz threw three touchdown passes against a crappy Bears team, marking the fifth time this season the second-year QB has tossed that many TDs in a game. The legitimate MVP candidate was taken with the second overall pick in last year's draft after the Eagles acquired that selection in a, stop us if you've heard this one before, trade with Cleveland. On that note, LeBron was asked if he's disappointed that the Browns didn't keep the pick and take Wentz, to which he said "They passed on a lot of people."

Some day, man. Some day they're going to get it right.
