It's dope to think or say that you'd be the superhero and save someone who was in distress, but when the shit really hits the fan, are you ready to do what it takes to keep someone safe? Harry Smith, also known as Canadian professional wrestler Davey Boy Smith, Jr., was, and shared his heroic story on social media.

Smith, who is the son of WWE legend Davey Boy Smith and himself was a two-time WWE tag team champion shared his story via Facebook. According to him, he was driving over a bridge in Calgary when he says he saw a woman who was "crying and hanging off the bridge." This would be the point where most people would hop on their cellphone and call authorities; Smith decided to spring into action and help a group of people trying to save her.

😳😮😮 I saved a girl today from jumping off a bridge. Thank you to my years of grappling for saving this girl. Life is precious 😰🙇😔 pic.twitter.com/fGKRqrsEPZ

"With people on the ground waving her not to jump," Smith wrote, "I decided to grab a hold of her and not take any chances. She started to slide and want to go more as I grabbed a hold her. Luckily my years of grappling and self defense I knew how to grab her HARD and how to pull her up from hanging off and jumping."

Let me state it again: Smith took his years of combat training and use them in an actual life-or-death situation, making sure that this woman (who reportedly said she had a gun) was not able to jump off of a bridge to her death.

"We will get you help," Smith says he told the woman. "Life is a precious thing and I’m here to help to help you."

Sounds too good to be true? Well, this isn't the kayfabe world of pro wrestling; the Calgary police confirm that this ordeal unfolded the way Smith laid it out.

For those wondering, Smith has spent most of his post-WWE years performing in Japan, and is currently one-half of the IWGP Tag Team Champions, a title he's held with partner Lance Archer on three occasions. Even without a belt, Smith's definitely a real-world champion.
