Video Appears to Show Floyd Mayweather's Bodyguard Attacking Fan for Asking for Photo

One of Floyd Mayweather's large TMT bodyguards was accused of attacking a fan after he asked the boxer for a photo on Wednesday night.

Floyd Mayweather’s TMT bodyguards—or "security," as he prefers to call them—have really made a name of themselves over the course of the last few years. They have been profiled by The New York Times and interviewed by TMZ, and they go everywhere Mayweather goes, towering over him as they protect him from overeager fans and those who might try to get too close to him when he walks around in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, and other parts of the world. But one of Mayweather’s bodyguards might be in big trouble following an incident that took place in Hollywood on Wednesday night.

According to TMZ Sports, Mayweather and his TMT crew were leaving Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles at around 8 p.m. local time on Wednesday when a 20-year-old man approached Mayweather and asked if he could take a photo with him as he was getting into a car. But before the man could get close enough to Mayweather, a bodyguard intervened and pushed him away. And while that in and of itself wouldn’t have been a big deal, TMZ Sports is reporting that the bodyguard also grabbed the man by the neck, pushed him up against a wall, and punched him in the face. A portion of the alleged attack can be seen in the short clip above.

Mayweather was able to get into his car and leave the scene a short time later. But the man who was allegedly attacked by his bodyguard filed a police report regarding the incident. He told police he sustained injuries to his head, neck, and mouth as a result of what happened. He also spoke with TMZ Sports and said that he didn’t try to start any trouble with Mayweather or his bodyguards. He claimed he was simply looking for a photo with the boxer.

This isn’t the first time one of Mayweather’s bodyguards has found himself in legal trouble as a result of an incident with a fan. A TMT bodyguard was accused of battery back in August 2016 after he snatched a phone from a fan who was filming video of Mayweather inside of a restaurant.
