Tiger Woods had a ton of drugs in his system when he was arrested in late May on the suspicion of driving under the influence. A toxicology report released on Monday revealed that Woods had taken Ambien, Dilaudid, Vicodin, Xanax, and tetrahydrocannabinol, otherwise known as THC. While medical marijuana is legal in Florida, it's uncertain if Tiger had a prescription for all the medications listed above.
At the time of his arrest, Tiger admitted to taking Xanax, in addition to Vicodin, in an unredacted version of the police report. However, when Tiger was pulled over by cops for driving erratically, the arresting officers attributed his behavior to being drunk, even though he blew a .000 on two separate breathalyzer tests. In July, Woods announced that he completed a "private intensive program" which was conducted out of state.
Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving on Wednesday and agreed to enter a diversion program. If the 41-year-old golfer completes the program, he will have his record wiped clean. "As I previously said, I received professional help to manage my medications," Tiger said in a statement released on Monday. "Recently, I had been trying on my own to treat my back pain and a sleep disorder, including insomnia, but I realize now it was a mistake to do this without medical assistance. I am continuing to work with my doctors, and they feel I've made significant progress. I remain grateful for the amazing support that I continue to receive and for the family and friends that are assisting me."
