During his brief NBA career, Detroit Pistons forward Stanley Johnson has mostly been known for his freakish athleticism and talking trash to LeBron James. The summer league circuit, however, is a different story. Johnson has made a name for himself in Drake’s OVO Bounce Pro-Am tournament. After sealing the 2016 championship with a game winning three-pointer, Johnson dropped 86 in an overtime victory Friday night.

Footage from the game shows Johnson netting most of his points on drives, with defense not being much of a factor. According to BallIsLife, Johnson dropped 16 of his 86 in a mere 20-second span in the fourth quarter, as his team overcame a 16-point deficit.

Johnson’s former Pistons teammate Brandon Jennings was on hand and said there were about five total active NBA players participating as well, with the rest of the rosters presumably rounded out by semi-pro players. After 10 NBA seasons, Jennings is expected to play in China during the 2017-2018 season.

His scoring feat didn’t go unnoticed by other players around the league.

Los Angeles Lakers combo guard Jordan Clarkson tweeted, “86 is 86 I don’t care if you playing against toddlers haha. Stan went crazyy #OVOBOUNCE.”

Given that the OVO Bounce is Drake’s tournament, Aubrey was expected to weigh in. Drizzy kept it minimal, opting for the pair of eyes emoji while tagging Johnson in an Instagram post with the caption, “86'er @omostanimal 86 POINTS.”

During his two NBA seasons, Stanley Johnson had career averages of 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. You can catch the highlights from his 86 point outing above.
