Kevin Durant is a really busy man this summer. Between celebrating his first NBA title, making a memorable appearance at the ESPYs, and taking a trip to India to promote basketball, it doesn’t seem like he’s slowed down at all since the end of the 2016-17 NBA season.
But somehow, KD has managed to find the time to respond to various fans online. Maybe he just gets bored while sitting on flight after flight and has made a habit of checking his mentions on Twitter and the comments on his YouTube page. Or maybe he cares way more about what people say and think about him than he’s led us to believe in the past. Whatever the case, KD hasn’t been afraid to clap back at internet trolls and respond to those writing about him online this summer.
That continued on Monday when someone by the internet name "Joe Deezy" left a comment on Durant's YouTube page. In the comment, the fan said LeBron James is a better basketball player than KD: "LeBron is better than you," he wrote. "It’s just fax." It’s something that literally thousands of people have typed online in recent years:
And yet, for whatever reason, Joe Deezy’s comment caught KD’s attention. He decided to respond with a short and sweet one-word answer:
"Nah." That’s it? Yep.
It’s not exactly a surprise to hear KD say this. He's said it before, and as someone who's dedicated to being the best, he should feel like he’s a better player than LeBron. It’s also not exactly a surprise to see KD respond to someone saying this—it’s kind of become his thing this summer.
But does this mean we’re never going to hear the full LeBron/KD rap track? If so, thanks a lot, Joe Deezy. Way to ruin it for the rest of us.
