MMA Match Ends After Fighter Throws Up All Over the Place

A video from an MMA fight in Michigan shows the bout was stopped after one of the combatants vomited all over the place.

Not every level of MMA fighting is going to live up to what you see during UFC events, where the best of the best come to fight. Growing interest in the sport has prompted smaller outfits to pop up around the world, promising fans and fighters a chance to experience MMA up close.

When the fighter pool expands, it turns out you might see some pretty crazy shit. During a fight hosted by KnockOut Promotions in Muskegon, Michigan last weekend, a pair of "super heavyweights" stepped into the ring to assert their MMA supremacy. Based on footage available from the fight, Jesse Reasoner vs. Sean Needham isn't going to become the next great rivalry in the sport, but it will probably leave a lasting impression on everyone involved.

With both fighters looking fatigued and Needham in particular appearing as though he was on the ropes, Reasoner's body decided it was done with this whole fighting thing. It showed him that in the simplest way possible—it prompted him to vomit all over the ring.

While remaining sensitive to the fact that people of all body types have the freedom to pursue whatever athletic endeavors they want, maybe Reasoner should work on his cardio before he decides to get into the octagon again. Having the desire to stand toe-to-toe for a full bout is one thing, and having the capability to do so is another matter entirely.

The funniest part—or I guess saddest, if you're a Reasoner fan member of Reasoner's family—is that Needham is so exhausted he is visibly unable to celebrate his victory after Reasoner gets disqualified for getting his Exorcist on in the middle of the ring. Based on the commentary, it also sounds like it was his first legitimate fight; talk about a hollow victory for the debutante.

But hey, we all have to start somewhere, and 1-0 is 1-0, I suppose. Let's just hope both these guys are a tad more prepared for battle the next time they put on their striking gloves.
