Here's a fucking wild 15-second stretch that will briefly make you give a crap about European rugby.

A man named Benjamin Casty, who is the brother of French rugby star Remi Casty, was serving as a referee for a French junior cup game over the past weekend. In the course of his duties, he gave a yellow card to a player who then countered by knocking him out with a single punch. After he was done with that extremely quick exchange, he threw a second punch at an opposing player, which ignited a brawl that you can see a sample of in this tweet:

According to the Independent, the unnamed extremely angry individual was already suspended for four matches earlier in the season. Marc Palanques, who holds the position of French rugby federation president, called for discipline for this player's latest transgression to be "uncompromising," which could mean a lifetime ban is on its way.

As for Casty, he was rendered unconscious by the blow, and reportedly suffered cheekbone and jaw injuries.
