Steph Curry Got Jokes for Donald Trump

Chef Curry with the Donald Trump diss, boy.

After meeting with Donald Trump, Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank had nothing but good things to say about the President of the United States in an interview on CNBC's Fast Money Halftime Report. "To have such a pro-business president is something that is a real asset for the country," Plank said. "People can really grab that opportunity." So how does one of the biggest athletes representing Under Armour, Steph Curry, feel about the head of his sneaker company speaking so highly of someone that 40 percent of Americans already want impeached

“I agree with that description,” Curry said, per the Mercury News. “If you remove the ‘et’” from asset.

Never one to get too involved in discussions over politics, Curry let his guard down a bit and shared his honest assessment of Trump. Steph also revealed that he "spent all yesterday on the phone" with a number of individuals, including "countless people at Under Armour, countless people in Kevin Plank’s camp, my team," all in an effort to understand where everyone stood on The Donald.

Since receiving tons of backlash over his comments about Trump, Plank released a lengthy statement on Wednesday, clarifying where Under Armour stood on a number of issues, such as fair trade, immigration, and diversity. "Based off the release that KP sent out this morning, and what he told me last night, that’s the Under Armour that I know," Curry said. "That’s the brand I know he’s built and one that, as of Wednesday afternoon, is something that I’m standing on.”
