When the Golden State Warriors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day in heartbreaking fashion, they knew that they needed to make a huge statement in their last regular season showdown. And, in front of their home crowd, the Warriors did just that, putting up 37 points in the first quarter, and setting the tone for the rest of the game.

After just one quarter, the Cavaliers were probably wondering if actually benching their Big 3 would have been the best move. By halftime, the Warriors took a commanding 78-49 lead, coasting the rest of the way to the 126-91 victory, and their 35th win of the season.

Of course, what's a Warriors/Cavs rivalry without some fireworks? That's where Draymond Greenwho else?—was more than willing to provide the spark. Midway through the second quarter, Green collided with LeBron James on a fast break, causing the four-time NBA MVP to flop crash onto the hardwood.

Double technicals were handed down to Richard Jefferson and Green, who was also given a Flagrant 1 foul for his hit on James.

Aside from that, tonight's Warriors/Cavaliers game failed to live up to the hype set forth by their epic NBA Finals series and the Christmas Day battle. However, it's safe to say that Golden State didn't face the Cavs at full strength.

With J.R Smith sidelined with a broken thumb, and the newly acquired Kyle Korver still getting acclimated to the offense, it's going to be fun seeing these two teams face one another when they have everything clicking on all cylinders. Why don't we set a date for, say, June 1
