On Friday, the Chicago Bulls lost to the Atlanta Hawks 102-93, but the final score doesn't tell the entire story. In the fourth quarter, the Bulls' bench players outscored the Hawks 36-15, turning an absolutely dreadful contest into something a little more respectable. After the game, Dwyane Wade went on Twitter to apologize to both Bulls and Wade fans for the all-around "AWFUL" performance.
Following the Bulls' deflating 99-98 loss to the Dallas Mavericks at home on Tuesday, you would think that the team would come out motivated and determined to get back on the right track, but Chicago came out flat. Wade knows he shouldn't be excluded from the criticism because the 13-year NBA veteran was as bad as anyone, scoring just four points and shooting 2-for-10 from the field in 20 minutes.
After the end of the first quarter, the Bulls were facing an uphill battle after going down 35-13. However, this is the NBA, where a 22-point lead isn't insurmountable. But this just wasn't Chicago's night—by the time the Bulls went back to the locker room at halftime, the Hawks had increased their lead to 29. The Bulls have lost five of their last seven contests.
The Bulls will look to get back to their winning ways as they face the Kings at home tonight.
