Friday night high school basketball games are always great for gatherings among friends, families, and enemies from rival schools. But when the Blair Bears played against the Waverly Vikings on their home turf in Waverly, Nebraska, it turned out to be one of the craziest game-ending scenarios that you'll ever witness in amateur basketball.

In the clip above, you can see with 4.5 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 50 and the Bears had possession. After a Blair inbounds pass, one of their players was fouled far in the backcourt. He heaved the ball in hopes to change the official's foul call to be in the act of shooting. But somehow the long shot went in the hoop. However, the ref called off the shot as no good.

Then they replayed the possession at the same inbounds spot. After the second inbounds pass, Waverly stole the ball with about 2 seconds left on the clock, and the coach called timeout. However, the player who nabbed Blair's inbounds pass didn't hear the timeout whistle right away, so he passed it to his Vikings teammate who then threw his own half-court shot that went in. That sent the crowd into an immediate frenzy, but the ref waved off that shot as well.

Finally, the Vikings devised a play that hit one of their teammates in the left corner, who banked in a smooth three-pointer at the buzzer to seal the victory 53-50. That's when the crowd stormed the court and screamed their heads off like they never saw this coming.

It was a great play well executed, and a series of incredible events that will certainly remain a topic of conversation in Waverly for years to come.
