If you're somebody who's kind of funny on the internet but you're also broke as sh*t, here's a good way for you to make some extra money. Floyd Mayweather is offering up $10,000 to the Instagram user who can come up with the best caption for a video of Conor McGregor tapping out to end his first fight against Nate Diaz at UFC 196. You have until December 19 to submit something:
Just nine hours after Mayweather posted the video, it already had almost 130,000 comments. And while the poor bastard tasked with actually reading through all of the submissionsโwhich probably isn't Floydโisn't going to go through even one percent of them, judging by the top 20 or so, you would've had a real chance to win if you could've come up with any sort of decent line early in the process. For example, your competition includes quips like:
"Connor, can you let me know what canvas on your back feels like? In exchange, I'll tell you what having real money feels like." @floydmayweather #GOAT #TMT
And:
"Oh shit! I just lost to Nate! Nobody tell floyd"
And:
when Scar watched the wildebeests trample Mustafa in the Lion King ๐๐
And:
When you don't get your sons what they wanted for Christmas
And:
When you can't breathe.....so you fake dead to keep from fighting Floyd ๐๐พ๐ฅ๐๐พ
And
"Retirement no so bad!!" ๐๐๐
Mayweather's offer comes just a day after he threatened the Irishmanย from the comfort of a boat. "I'm fucking McGregor up," he said on a live Instagram video. "You a punk ass, McGregor. I'm gonna slap McGregor. I'm gonna slap the shit out of McGregor when I see him."ย These two may never fight, at least officially, but over the last few days, their back and forths have actually gotten to be pretty entertaining.
Anyway, if you have a decent joke for the clip, shoot your shot. It could land you a very, very, very, very, very,ย very, very, very, very, very,ย very, very, very, very, very,ย very, very, very, very, very,ย very, very, very, very, very,ย very, very, very, very, very small percentage of Mayweather's net worth.
