Carmelo Anthony's night came to an end early Friday after he was given two technical fouls by referee Tony Brothers in the second quarter (in a matter of 20 seconds), and was ejected from the contest.
Following the game, Brothers told Celtics reporter for ESPN, Chris Forsberg, that the reason for issuing both technicals were due to "bad language." When asked why he gave 'Melo the initial foul, the ref replied, “He dove on top of him. You can’t dive on top of a player to go after a ball. That’s a foul.” When asked point-blank if he has a history with Anthony, the ref said, "No." Carmelo's wife, LaLa, doesn't see it that way.
In fact, LaLa thinks he "hates" Anthony.
Even 'Melo's teammate Derrick Rose suspected that there is a "history" between these two to warrant that response from Brothers. "I was surprised," Rose toldESPN's Ian Begley. "He was still talking quietly. I didn't get it. They have a history, I guess." As for the reason why LaLa decided to hop on Twitter and defend her husband, she is admittedly fed up with having to see the same thing happen over and over again.
