The Cavaliers are playing the Knicks tonight in Cleveland for the NBA Tip-Off, to start their season and defend their championship. The team's ring ceremony will precede the game's starting lineups, and no one in attendance will go home empty-handed.
But there is one very special guest that everyone is talking about: The Undertaker.
Remember when LeBron James made headlines back in June as he wore a t-shirt sporting The Undertaker to practice and during the press conference before Game 5 of the NBA Finals? James channeled his favorite WWE wrestler when the Cavaliers needed a win to avoid elimination. In case you missed it, here's a pic of LeBron at practice in Oakland before Game 5:
Because the Cavs made their miraculous comeback to win the series 4-3, The Undertaker is showing love to the NBA champs tonight. And just about everyone is freaking out about seeing the WWE legend in character.
The wrestler came to the arena with his wife Michelle McCool. Also, Dana Warrior, the widow of The Ultimate Warrior, came with her and the late WWE Hall of Famer's daughter and his WWE title belt. Mrs. Warrior likely came to return the love to LeBron for when he rocked that Ultimate Warrior t-shirt after arriving in Cleveland with the Larry O' Brien trophy.
They all stood outside the Cavs' locker room to meet the players. Here are some tweets showing how people are shocked by The Deadman's cometh to the arena.
The Undertaker and Cavs' sharp shooter James Jones exchange a pound and hug below.
The Birdman, Chris Andersen—the closest person to a WWE character on the Cavs—met The Undertaker, of course.
The WWE star maintained his famous stoic disposition in his pic with Birdman.
Richard Jefferson even came up to his to shake the wrestling legend's hand. The 6-foot-8 Jefferson is one of the few people who can stand at eye level with the Taker.
And even Kevin Love got The Undertaker to say "cheese" for a pic, sort of.
Lastly, here's a heartwarming clip of Kevin Love being presented the Ultimate Warrior title belt.
