Kevin Durant is, by almost all accounts, a really nice guy. So nice that, once upon a time, Nike put together an entire campaign to try and convince people that KD was not nice. At least on the basketball court. But ever since KD decided to sign with the Warriors this summer, things have been…different. KD has transformed into somewhat of a villain, and it’s clear that there are going to be a whole bunch of NBA fans rooting against him this season, despite his perpetual nice-ness.

That comes with the territory when you’re one of the best players in the NBA and you decide to sign with a historically great team in the offseason. But according to DeMarcus Cousins, the media isn’t doing KD any favors when it comes to the way they’re covering him right now. It seems the Kings star—who played with KD on Team USA at the 2016 Rio Olympics—isn’t a big fan of the way reporters have gone about covering KD’s move to Golden State. And while speaking with ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth on Tuesday night, he let it be known that he thinks the media is giving people the wrong impression of KD.

Cousins isn’t entirely wrong here. A lot of the KD stories that have been published by the media over the last month or two—and we’re including ourselves in this—have focused on the negatives surrounding KD’s exodus from the Thunder. Many of them have involved his fractured relationship with Russell Westbrook and how happy he is to be playing in a place other than Oklahoma City. At the same time, this is what KD signed up for when he made the decision to leave Westbrook and OKC behind and join a team that is on ESPN and every other network out there every single day. He’s going to get covered ad nauseum, and some of the news stories about him are not going to paint him in the most favorable light.

Elsewhere in his interview with Hubbarth, Cousins kept it more lighthearted. He may not be thrilled with how the media covers KD and other NBA stars, but it didn’t stop him from speaking on a topic that is apparently near and dear to his heart: Pinterest. Here he is discussing why Pinterest is his favorite app:
