After eight years in the NFL, Arian Foster is calling it a career. "There comes a time in every athlete's career when their ambition and their body are no longer on the same page," Foster wrote for UNINTERRUPTED. "I've reached that point." After suffering a season-ending torn Achilles injury last year, the 30-year-old running back signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. Since joining the Dolphins, Foster has battled hamstring and groin injuries, limiting his time on the field. When he has played, Arian has looked like a shell of his former self, averaging 2.5 yards per carry on just 22 attempts.

"I've been fortunate enough to play many successful years in this league. I've given a lot to this game and given up a lot for it," Foster wrote. "But it has returned to me more than I could have ever asked for." After going undrafted in 2009 over injury concerns, Foster signed with the Houston Texans. In a matter of seven months, Arian went from being released by the Texans to becoming a member of their practice squad to joining the active roster.

When he was finally given an opportunity to show what he could do in 2010, Foster balled out, rushing for a league-best 1,616 yards, and scoring 16 touchdowns. Two years later, Foster wore his heart on his sleeve during the press conference announcing his new five-year, $43.5 million deal with the Texans.
