Stephen Curry hit 402 3-pointers this year, shattering his own record of 286 set the year before. He shot a stunning 45 percent from beyond the arc. According to very scientific calculations, we now know he actually shoots better when he's seated at halfcourt: 50 percent, to be exact.

Golden State Warriors photographer Jack Arent captured video evidence.

Curry took the shots at a youth basketball camp in Walnut Creek, Calif., Thursday. He air-balled his first attempt, receiving "oohs" from the crowd of campers, before swishing his second and sending the kids into a frenzy. Curry seemed to know it was going in from the second it left his hand.

Curry chose not to participate in the 2016 Rio Olympics, where his Warriors teammates Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant are competing. The back-to-back reigning MVP elected instead to spend some time recovering after a particularly grueling season. His coach, Steve Kerr, admitted earlier this week that Curry's ailments affected the Warriors' gameplan in the finals.

After he lost his mind for a few days in June, it's good to see Curry has his fun spirit and swagger back. We can only hope he'll add the seated-half-court-shot to his famous pre-game ritual.
