The last thing Draymond Green needs to learn right now is how to stand out. He’s learned how to steal the spotlight from his more famous Warriors teammates over the course of the last year in a variety of different ways (some good, some bad, and some very bad). But with Kevin Durant joining Golden State this summer, Green has slipped down the Warriors’ depth chart a bit when it comes to the fame factor, so he will have to work a little bit harder to get noticed next season. It comes with the territory when you play with guys like KD, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson.
Fortunately, Horace Grant and Destiny's Child's Michelle Williams are here to help him out. Grant knows a thing or two (or 23) about playing with teammates more famous than him. Williams does, too (she’s the other other girl from Destiny’s Child for everyone thinking "Who?" at the moment). So Foot Locker recruited them to star alongside Green in their latest spot, which is almost as hilarious as the D’Angelo Russell commercial the company released back in June. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea of including Beyoncé's name in the commercial without actually having anyone say it.
As we mentioned, Green doesn’t really need advice from anyone with regards to standing out. He seems to do just fine in that department on his own, and his star will likely continue to rise as he plays alongside Durant, Curry, and Thompson. But that doesn’t make this clip any less funny.
