Hope Solo was hit with a six-month suspension last week as a punishment for calling Sweden "a bunch of cowards" following their win over the U.S. Women's National Team in the quarterfinals at the Rio Olympics:

And while that in and of itself seemed like an absurdly harsh punishment for poor sportsmanship, it actually got even worse for Solo. In addition to the suspension, she also had her contract with the USWNT terminated. She released this statement once she was told the news:

Those carefully chosen words were not her first reaction to the news, though, as you can see in the clip above. It features a teaser from an upcoming six-episode Fullscreen documentary series called Keeping Score and shows exactly what Solo had to say after meeting with USWNT representatives and learning about her suspension and contract termination. She walked out of the room following the meeting, hugged her husband, former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens, and then went off for a few seconds on the punishment. She appeared to be completely blindsided by the news. "Six-month suspension, no pay, terminated contract, effective immediately," she said to the camera crew nearby. "Terminated contract—not just a suspension. It's bull. Seventeen f*cking years and it's over!"

The full episode of Keeping Score featuring this scene airs on Sept. 2. In the meantime, check out the teaser to see Solo's unfiltered reaction to getting some of the worst news of her career.
