Nike Brought out the Legends to Unveil 'The Science of Speed' Fan Experience in Milan

Seven of the biggest legends in football descended on Milan – ahead of the Champions League final – to celebrate the launch of Mercurial Superfly V.

Seven of the biggest legends in football descended on Milan – the host city of this weekend's Champions League final – as Nike unveiled 'The Science of Speed' fan experience to celebrate the launch of the new Mercurial Superyfly V.

Headline by Brazil legend Ronaldo – who wore the first edition of the iconic Mercurial in 1998 – Nike's roster of legends featued Ronaldinho, Luis Figo, Fabio Cannavaro, Paolo Maldini, Christian Vieri and Gianluca Zambrotta.

Located in the heart of Milan, 'Science of Speed' invited members of the Nike Football App to witness the evolution of Mercurial via an exhibition of the model's greatest silos, take part in training sessions with Inter Milan coaches and compete against Cristiano Ronaldo in a virtual speed test.

Speaking on the launch of the Merucial Superfly V – which will be worn by Cristiano Ronaldo in the Champions League final – R9 said:

"Speed has always defined my style of play and this enabled me to make the difference in the most decisive moments on pitch. Mercurial was designed to enhance the speed and attacking play of athletes like myself and Cristiano Ronaldo."

The "Science of Speed" is located at Via Vigevano 18, Milan, and open to the public. Register via the Nike Football App from 10am to 11pm until Sunday, May 28.
