A former high school football player was arrested on Saturday in Mesa, Ariz. and charged with 69 counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure as well as one count of felony furnishing harmful items to minors as a result of a prank gone terribly wrong.

According to the Mesa Police Department, Hunter Osborn, 19, exposed himself in a team photo last year after a teammate dared him to reveal the top of his penis above his waistband when the photo was taken. That picture—which you can see above—appeared in a program that was sold to fans at Red Mountain High School football games as well as the Red Mountain High School yearbook. School officials did not discover what Osborn had done until the yearbooks had been distributed to the school's 3,400 students recently, and Mesa Police got involved once they were made aware of the photo over the weekend.

After Osborn was contacted by police, he reportedly told them that he was "disgusted" with himself for taking the photo. But that didn't stop police from charging him with 69 counts of indecent exposure—one for every person that was present in the team photo. A detective for the Mesa Police Department did tell CBS 5 Arizona that that number could be reduced if those players over the age of 18 refuse to press charges against Osborn. But the players in the photo reportedly range in age from 15 to 19, so not all of the charges against Osborn will be dropped.

Red Mountain High School issued a statement about Osborn's behavior on Monday. They also revealed that they have recalled all of the yearbooks that were handed out to students.

"The district is dismayed by the actions of the students involved in the photograph," the school's statement said. "Their behavior does not reflect the values of Red Mountain High School or Mesa Public Schools."

Several students who attend Red Mountain High School were interviewed by CBS 5 Arizona about the charges filed against Osborn, and they expressed shock at how severe the charges were.

"He made a dumb mistake a little bit," senior Zach Anthony said, "but I don't think he should be charged so heavily for that."

Stay tuned to see what penalties Osborn faces as a result of what he did.
