Since the New York Giants drafted Ohio State's Eli Apple as the No. 10 overall pick in the NFL Draft, it's only natural that the rookie defensive back would have salivating groupies from The Big Apple and beyond suddenly jumping into Apple's DMs.
But Eli's mother, Annie Apple, ain't having it. She tweeted a message warning the litany of "thirsty girls" coming after her son with scantily-clad photos of themselvesā or no clothes at allānow that he's a pro athlete.
Given her activity on Twitter, Annie Apple is obviously privy to the social media realm, as well as what goes down in the DMs between pro athletes and groupies.
Eli, in "Oh, Mom" fashion, tweeted his response to his protective mother's fair warning to those groupies spamming his DMs like crazy.
If Eli is a bachelor in NYC, and continues to have this good problem of too many ladies to spare, maybe Eli can help Anthony Davis with his lack of DM-pops soon.
