According to the San Jose Mercury News, former defensive tackle Dana Stubblefield was charged on Monday with raping a 31-year-old "developmentally delayed" woman. The incident allegedly occurred on April 9, 2015 when the female went to his home to interview for a babysitting job.

Per the San Jose Mercury News

Stubblefield contacted the woman through Sittercity.com to see if she was interested in a job as a nanny, according to a Morgan Hill police report. They set up an interview for the next day at Stubblefield’s Morgan Hill home.

The woman informed the Morgan Hill Police Department, claiming she was assaulted by a man named "Dana." DNA evidence conducted by authorities matched that of the 11-year NFL veteran. Stubblefield's bail has been set for $250,000.
