Mets fans (and probably Mets) will hate Dodgers infielder Chase Utley for the rest of his career/life after his vicious late slide at second base that broke the leg of their shortstop Ruben Tejada last October. What followed was a new rule for the entire league, and death threats for Utley from not-so-well-adjusted New York fans.

Now, with the 37-year-old veteran in town over the weekend, the team has but one series left this season to exact their revenge the only borderline psychopathic way baseball players know how: with a 100 MPH pitch lodged squarely into his right temple.

Last night one of New York's many young star pitchers, Noah Syndergaard, was ejected from the game in the third inning for uncorking a 99 MPH fastball about a foot behind Utley:

And then, afterwards, Utley continued to play the heel by bashing the Mets in the dick with not one, but two homers. The first happened in the sixth inning to break a scoreless tie. It came despite optimistic chants of "Hit him, hit him" from the home crowd:

That, however, simply turned out to be a warm-up for what was to come—and by that we mean he hit a grand slam in the very next inning:

Damn. That's some world-class trolling right there.

Still, the Mets have one last chance to avenge Tejada with the violent retaliatory beanball baseball players have passed down from generation to generation. Will they take it, or will they be the bigger men? For now, at least, it's unclear. All we're saying is we wouldn't be surprised if history, from just a few Sundays ago, repeated itself this afternoon.

If it does we'll probably tell you about it.
