The Spurswere unable to beat the Warriors tonight and continue their undefeated win streak at home this season, but it’s not because their fans weren’t into the game. In fact, at least two fans were a little bit too into the contest, and it resulted in them getting called out by Warriors’ play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald has been an announcer for Golden State for almost two decades now, so you’d think he would be used to dealing with rowdy opposing fans. But during a break in the action tonight, he took part in a live shot that aired on NBA TV. And when a couple Spurs fans interrupted the shot by waving their hands in front of the camera, Fitzgerald responded to it by saying, “We even have some jerk off fans trying to screw up the telecast.”
Um, are you allowed to say that on TV?! Probably not, but he did anyway. And as a result of it, he may have earned his way onto this list.
