It’s been more than three months since Cleanthony Earlywas shot outside of a strip club in New York City, and police still haven’t tracked down the person who did it. It’s actually been so long now that Early has healed up from the shooting and returned to the Knicks lineup. But according to the New York Post, the NYPD may finally be close to cracking the case open.

Delvon Dowling, a 22-year-old man from Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested last week on a charge that wasn’t related to the Early shooting. But while speaking with police, he admitted to playing a role in it. Dowling told police that he teamed up with a group of his friends to rob Early outside of the CityScapes strip club and that, after stealing jewelry, cell phones, and more from Early, one of the men shot him. Dowling is not believed to be the shooter.

No one else with a connection to the crime has been arrested at this time. Stay tuned for more details.
