Hockey players are a tough group. And nothing changes after they call it quits. During tonight's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders coach and former defenseman Jack Capuano was hit in the face with a deflected puck. With a towel covering the damage, Capuano was escorted into the locker room.

Shortly after the Lightning cut the Islanders' lead to one, Capuano returned with a noticeable mark on his nose.

After the game Isles captain John Tavares spoke about the incident and didn't seem all that concerned about his coach. “I think at first we thought it was in his eye, and then we heard when he went off that it wasn’t, they said that it was in his nose, so we didn’t feel as bad," he said. "He’s always telling us to block shots, but we’re glad to see that he’s all right. Obviously that can be a scary thing, but good to see he battled through it like he likes to see us do.”
