Prior to dropping a career-high 42 points in the Boston Celtics' 111-103 win over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 3, Isaiah Thomas received texts from two NBA greats: Isiah Thomas and Allen Iverson. The Celtics star point guard didn't want to go into specifics regarding what Isiah told him, telling MassLive.com, "Isiah Thomas just gave me a few tips I can't tell you guys about."
When it came to the text messages he received from Iverson, though, Thomas was more in the sharing mood.
"Allen Iverson just said, 'Keep fighting; (the Hawks) did what they were supposed to do in Atlanta, now it's time for you guys to take advantage of being at home."
As we all know now, Isaiah definitely took full advantage of the home crowd with a career night when the Celtics needed it most. But now, going back to these "tips" from Isiah. Did they include taking cheap shots at opposing players?
