Update:

TMZ talked to Dana White who reaffirmed that the fight is off, saying "It's not true. We haven't talked to Conor or his manager since the press conference. I don't know why he would tweet that."

As MMA Junkie reporter Chamatkar Sandhu pointed out, this isn't the first time McGregor tweeted about a non-existent match:

Between this and his "retirement" announcement last Tuesday, absolutely nobody should take McGregor's news breaks seriously.

As of now the fight is still a highly anticipated bout between TBA and TBD.

Original Story Below

Following the unexpected news that he was retiring, and the completely expected news that that announcement was bogusConor McGregor was dropped from his UFC 200 rematch with Nate Diaz by Dana White because of his refusal to promote it. Now, according to his Twitter feed, he will fight at that event, making the past six days of updates and news completely pointless:

Happy to announce that I am BACK on UFC 200!
Shout out to @danawhite and @lorenzofertitta on getting this one done for the fans. #Respect

Assuming there's no further drama (and that seems like a big assumption at this point) the fight (if it even exists) will take place on July 9.

We'll update when officials from UFC confirm whether this is true or not.
