If there was any inkling that Kevin Durant would join the Boston Celtics this summer, the Oklahoma City Thunder star stoked the fires quite a bit earlier today when he praised the city and their fans.
Per MassLive:
"I like the city a lot," Durant said after a shootaround at the TD Garden. "It's cold but they love sports here. It's a family atmosphere I feel when I walk around the city. So yeah, I like it a lot."
In an effort to show that the feeling is mutual, Celtics fans started chanting "Come to Boston" when Durant was at the charity stripe during tonight's game.
With a nice core of talented players and a solid head coach in Brad Stevens, the Celtics have a lot of great pieces. Now, all they need is a "difference maker" and Durant fits that mold perfectly.
It's going to be a fun summer.
